Born in Bologna, Alberto Monaco start sailing when he was a child, obtaining great results in different sailing classes. Then he dedicated his career to boat building, working at Soleri (prestigious Italian shipyard) and building racing boats from 55 to 90 feet; in Valencia in 2005 he lead the construction on the +39 team’s boat for America’s Cup Challenge and then he built Telefonica Blue (Volvo 70).
In 2012 he prepared Team Plastique for the Vendée Globe in Les Sables d’Olonne. But he has never stopped sailing, so in 2013 Alberto has partecipated at Transat-Jacques Vabre with Alessandro Di Benedetto on Team Plastique. Today he works as an expert of carbon fiber and composite materials.
Alberto help us to build the boat, not only with his experience about composite materials, but also with his knowledge about vacuum bag lamination.

Fabio Soleri is the owner of SOLERI COMPOSITES, a prestigious Italian shipyard where most innovative technologies are used to create high performance yacht. The shipyard use advanced composite materials, like prepreg, carbon fiber, kevlar, sandwich structure, in association with modern vacuum lamination systems and computerized oven with different dimensions. Soleri has built some of the fastest sailing yacht in the world: ESIMIT EUROPA, AMOR, Frers’ ANYWAY TRUE  ITA 93 – PEGASO e KANAP-ONE from Cori Design, FETCH IV from Bill Tripp. In 2007 he built “ITA 85”, +39 Challenge boat for the America’s Cup Challenge. He was the first to use bamboo fiber for nautical application, doing a lot of research and experiment about this eco-friendly material. Fabio gave us his knowledge about bamboo fiber and boat construction…and also lent us his van, vacuum pump, anti skid for the deck, and much more…
